Sashco Conceal Textured Caulk
“Easy to use — hard to see.” The textured caulk we use to seal log checks, cracks, and joints on Colorado log homes so invisibly you can't tell where the wood ends and the caulk begins.

In 26 years of sealing log homes across Colorado's mountain counties, we've found nothing that disappears into the woodwork like Conceal. Its light texture blends with the woodgrain, so instead of shiny caulk lines running across your logs, you simply see wood. That matters on the high-end homes we work on in places like Breckenridge, Fairplay, and Winter Park, where visible caulking cheapens an otherwise beautiful restoration.
Conceal is elastic — it stretches and compresses as logs move through Colorado's freeze-thaw cycles instead of drying hard and cracking. We use it to seal log checks (the natural cracks that open in logs at altitude), butt joints, corners, and gaps around doors, windows, and chimneys — anywhere weather, bugs, and moisture try to get in.
- • Lightly textured to blend seamlessly with woodgrain
- • Elastic — absorbs normal log movement without cracking
- • Water-based for easy application, smoothing, and cleanup
- • Freeze-thaw stable — built for mountain conditions
- • Interior and exterior use; adheres to most building materials
- • Available in 10.5 oz. and 30 oz. cartridges and 5 gal. pails

Conceal Color Options
Seven colors matched to today's log home stains. Screen colors are a digital representation — we match Conceal to your actual stain color on site before sealing.

Where Conceal Works
- • Log checks and cracks
- • Wood siding butt joints and corner boards
- • Around wood doors and windows
- • Where wood meets chimneys
- • Baseboards and crown molding
- • Interior and exterior wood surfaces
Where It Shouldn't Be Used
- • Surfaces previously coated with a waxy or non-drying oil coating
- • Non-stick surfaces such as Kynar-coated materials
- • Surfaces previously sealed with silicone (all silicone residue must be removed first)
As with chinking, surface prep decides whether a sealant lasts — it's built into every caulking job we do.
