Log Jam is the log chinking industry's recognized standard for synthetic chinking — and after 26 years of chinking log homes across Colorado's mountain counties, it's the product we reach for on the vast majority of our jobs. Unlike old-time mortar, Log Jam stays flexible as your logs expand, contract, and settle through Colorado's dramatic temperature swings. It keeps the classic rustic look — the texture simulates traditional mortar — without the cracking and pull-away that plague rigid chinking. It's water-based for clean application and smoothing, adheres well to most building materials, works on both interior and exterior joints, and is formulated to be compatible with all Sashco stains and clear coats we apply.

Where It Shouldn't Be Used
- • Surfaces previously coated with a waxy or non-drying oil coating
- • Non-stick surfaces such as Kynar-coated materials
- • Surfaces previously sealed with silicone (all silicone residue must be removed first)
